Wednesdays - Media Literacy - Home School Courses

This is a weekly course for every Wednesday from 12:00PM to 1:30PM over 8 weeks.

This course is recommended for students 8 years and older.

Students will explore various concepts about media during these 8 weeks, which include:

- What is media?

- How do we use and consume media?

- What are different kinds of media?

- What is the message encoded in media?

- What is media decoding?

- PSAs, magazines, and they power they hold

Students that work through this 8 week course will be given the basic building blocks for understanding media. Students are encouraged to continue practicing and exploring concepts until the next class date.
