Field Trip - Exploring Recycling

Suggested Grades: 4 to 8

Suggested Time: 5.5 hours + 30 minute lunch

Class of: 25 students (email for pricing of larger groups)

Students will learn and explore:

- What is recycling?

- The importance of recycling and the consequences of not

- The benefits of recycling, personally and environmentally

- The process of making recycled paper

- Safe use of equipment and materials

- Carving Lino rubber with various tools

- The process of stamping, making use of different presses, and inks

Activities will include:

- Making recycled paper

- Scented recycled paper

- Carving Lino Stamps

- Stamping
