Intro to Coding (Ages 8–14)
Kickstart your child’s coding journey with a fun and hands-on introduction to both Scratch and Micro:bit! This beginner-friendly class teaches students the foundations of block-based coding while letting them create interactive games, animations, and simple electronic projects.
Using Scratch, students will learn core programming concepts such as sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, events, and logic—building confidence as they design and code their own mini-projects.
With the Micro:bit and Microsoft MakeCode, students will explore inputs and outputs, onboard sensors, buttons, LEDs, and simple robotics. They’ll experiment with sound, motion, and light, and learn how code can interact with real-world components.
Throughout the program, students build problem-solving skills, creativity, and computational thinking through guided challenges and hands-on activities. This class is the perfect first step into the world of coding, microprocessors, and beginner robotics—designed to spark curiosity and prepare students for our intermediate and advanced levels.
